Clinical Psychology Society of India

It is a privilege and an honor to welcome you to this prestigious conference of the Clinical Psychologists Society of India (CPSI), organized around the timely and compelling theme, "Innovation and Integration in Clinical Psychology – Advancing Mental Health Care."

As the landscape of mental health continues to evolve, Clinical Psychology is experiencing unprecedented opportunities for growth and transformation. Advances in neuroscience, digital health technologies, artificial intelligence, neuropsychological sciences, psychotherapy research, and public mental health are expanding the boundaries of our discipline.

The theme of this conference reflects a vision for the future of our profession. Innovation enables us to discover new pathways for understanding human behavior, enhancing assessment methodologies, and developing effective interventions.

Integration ensures that these advances are translated into holistic, accessible, and culturally responsive mental health services that address the needs of individuals, families, and communities.

It is with immense pride and great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to all distinguished delegates, eminent mental health professionals, academicians, researchers, practitioners, and students to CPSICON 2026 - the International Annual Conference of the Clinical Psychology Society of India.

The theme of this year's conference, "Innovation and Integration in Clinical Psychology: Advancing Mental Health Care," captures the spirit of transformation that defines contemporary mental health practice. As the world faces rapidly evolving psychological and psychosocial challenges, the need to integrate cutting-edge research, technological innovation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and culturally responsive interventions has never been greater.

We are deeply honoured to host this important international conference in the Northeast region of India, a land celebrated for its rich cultural diversity, indigenous wisdom, strong community bonds, and extraordinary resilience.

The Northeast offers a unique psychosocial landscape that reminds us that true progress in mental health care lies not only in innovation, but also in integrating local knowledge systems, community-centred approaches, and inclusive mental health services that reach diverse populations across geographical and cultural boundaries.

It is a matter of great pride that Assam Don Bosco University, one of the premier institutions of higher education in Northeast India, recognized for its excellence in academics, research, innovation, and commitment to holistic development, is serving as a principal organizing institution for this conference. We are equally privileged to collaborate with Mynd Foundation, an organization committed to promoting mental health awareness, providing accessible psychological support, creating safe spaces for emotional well-being, and advancing community-based mental health care initiatives. This partnership between a premier academic institution and a dedicated mental health organization beautifully represents the essence of our conference theme — bringing together innovation and integration to advance the field of clinical psychology in meaningful and impactful ways.
